Immigrant Rights - Volunteer Opportunity
Feb 07, 2017

Residents of Rogers Park who are deeply concerned about changes in immigration policies initiated by the new administration are taking action.  The organizers of the event are searching for interpreters to volunteer their services to facilitate communication across the diverse population of the neighborhood.  Learn more about the implications of these new executive orders and brainstorm ways to keep ourselves, our neighbors, and our neighborhoods safe.  One aspect of this will be creating a rapid response network aimed at supporting Rogers Park residents who are under scrutiny by ICE or other government agencies.

If you’re interested in joining this community-wide meeting to coordinate collective neighborhood responses, contact Matthew Graville Bricker (mbricker@ilschicago.com; 312-868-1189).  More details will be available soon.
